Pre-game

Full size is still a little blurry.

If I took this from a different angle or didn't have a ceiling light right above, one could see more detail in the eye rather than the light reflecting off.

A little less exposure could bring out more detail in the moon.

The Rules

 More like guidelines:

Rules 2-3 were from when I was taking one a day. Hopefully I can manage 1/7th of that.

  1. Take at least one still photograph each week in 2024 and post the best one from each week online.
  2. If I miss a week, I may make it up by taking one picture of a different subject on another week and posting it for that week. (By different subject, I mean I can't take 10 pictures of the same rose and post all ten pictures for 10 different make-up weeks.  Because that's lame.)
  3. If I miss a week, I may also use a picture from a previous week of a different subject as the submission for that week.
  4. If I don't take a picture for each week of the year, I won't feel bad about it.

About Me

I'm a teacher and father living in Arvada, CO. Thirteen years ago, I attempted to take one photo everyday for a full year. I managed 154 days, my longest streak being 31 days. (My brother in law hit every one.)

In 2012, 2013, and 2018, I started, but never really did that well. Teaching and parenting made it harder.

So this year my goal is to take some photos every week of the year and choose one I want to post. I've set myself some general guidelines.

If you like what you see, you can order prints in a variety of sizes on a variety of materials on my Etsy site.
